The Kalispell Public School system has selected architectural and engineering firms for services on the remaining construction projects at the district’s elementary schools, Linderman Education Center and H.E. Robinson Vocational Agricultural Center.

Morrison-Maierle was selected to provide services in partnership with L’Heureux Page Werner. The two companies are also working on the new south elementary school and Flathead High School remodel and expansion. The district will pay approximately $2.3 million for the engineering and architecture services on the three projects.

Morrison-Maierle is a Helena-based engineering surveying and planning firm with offices in Kalispell and throughout the state. L’Heureux Page Werner is a Great Falls-based architecture and engineering firm.

Both companies led the school district’s more than year-long facility planning process that culminated in bond issues totaling $54 million to renovate and expand the district’s elementary and high school facilities.

CTA was chosen to provide architectural and engineering services to renovate and expand the district’s five existing elementary schools — Edgerton, Elrod, Hedges, Peterson and Russell. CTA is headquartered in Billings with offices in Kalispell and throughout Montana.

Jackola, a Kalispell-based firm, will provide architectural and engineering services on the renovation and expansion of Linderman.

Contracts have yet to be finalized for CTA and Jackola, but may go before the school board at the end of May or early June.

Once contracts are approved, district representative Erick Enz of Axiom Builders Group said he will meet with architects to come up with a recommendation for the construction delivery method, which will impact the timing for when a general contractor comes on board in the design and construction process.
