Elk herd faces harassment from above

Someone was reported for allegedly harassing a herd of elk by flying a drone approximately 500-600 feet over their heads, according to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office.

A black dog was found on Clear Springs Trail with what was described as an older gunshot wound. The dog was taken to the local shelter.

Two fishing rods were reportedly stolen out of a vehicle that was left unlocked.

A home was reportedly broken into by an intruder who allegedly forced entry through a window, taking a cash box and a large sum of money.

A husky mix was found on West Reserve Drive and taken to the county shelter.

A blue-haired man was reportedly urinating on the side of a building on Baker Avenue, according to Whitefish Police.

A purple-haired man reportedly passed out on a park bench on Central Avenue after a heavy bout of drinking. An empty vodka bottle was allegedly found in a planter near the sleeping man.

A black and white lab/pit bull mix was reported missing from Franlou Park Lane. The dog allegedly escaped out of a garage door and was described as friendly to the Columbia Falls Police.

A train reportedly blocked Ninth Street West for 30 minutes, but allegedly began moving immediately after officers spoke with the conductor.

A man reported receiving a phone call from an unknown male who began asking what his wife was wearing and talking about a threesome, according to a Kalispell Police report.

A tablet and a pair of headphones were allegedly stolen out of an apartment on Treeline Road.

A skateboard was found in a woman’s lilac bush on Sixth Avenue West and taken to the police department for safekeeping.

An iPod, Kindle, cellphone and sunglasses were allegedly stolen from another unlocked vehicle.

A resident of Conrad Drive reported seeing someone rummaging through her vehicle. When she went outside, the person allegedly jumped out of her car and into a truck parked at the end of her driveway before speeding off. The woman’s neighbor allegedly took a picture of the same vehicle slowly driving by the house again the next day.

A woman allegedly found an injured domesticated squirrel in her attic.

A bike was reportedly stolen from an unlocked garage on Second Avenue West.
