'Mountain Goats' to be featured in Apgar Village
Photographer and videographer Sumio Harada will present “Mountain Goats — True Life in Glacier” in a “Look, Listen and Learn” program Saturday, May 27 at Apgar Village’s Montana House.
The free presentation begins at 11 a.m. with extensive footage of mountain goats in Glacier National Park. The videos show goat behaviors like nanny and kid interactions, seasonal feeding, mineral licking, mating, traveling and playing on snow banks. Shots of bighorn sheep, pika, ptarmigan, marmots and other wildlife are also included.
Harada is a renowned Rocky Mountain wildlife photographer and has been featured in a number of magazines, including National Geographic. His most recent book is “Wild Harmony of Glacier National Park.”
The Montana House opened in 1960 in Apgar Village, inside Glacier National Park and hosts a number of speakers each summer.
