'Two by Two'

| May 18, 2017 2:00 AM

The Port Polson Players continue their 42nd season with the musical comedy “Two by Two,” opening Friday, May 19 at Polson’s Theatre on the Lake.

The show plays May 19 through 28, at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. on Sundays.

THE FRESH retelling of the story of Noah, his family, and the Ark, “Two by Two” is billed as both inspirational and laugh-out-loud funny. The production is comprised of Mission Valley musicians and cast.

Neal Lewing appears as 600-year-old Noah and included in Noah’s family are Katie Rowold (Leah), Jake Kimmel (Shem), Shellie Winebrenner (Noah’s wife, Esther), Mason Niblack (Ham), Adalei Shoemake (Goldie), Ben Hoover (Japheth) and Haley Hoover (Rachael).

Bob Mazurek conducts Angelia Claver (piano), Paul Rowold (clarinet) and Donna Rowold (flute), with Cathy Gillhouse on keyboard base.

NEW CHAIRS have been installed by the Mission Valley Friends of the Arts at the theater, something Carmine Mowbray, the group’s president, said was a “huge improvement ... a fantastic boon to our gem of a theater.”
