David John Landsberger, 59

David John Landsberger passed away May 12, 2017, at his daughter’s home in Belgrade, after battling cancer.

David was born Feb. 3, 1958, to Leo and Ereth Marie Landsberger in Bismark, North Dakota. David, along with his parents and younger sisters, Debra and Renee, moved to Kalispell in July 1971.

David attended high school at Flathead High and worked for Royal Logging until it shut down. He was a youngster in the woods and was known for his hard work while there.

David met Audrey Glazier while attending high school, and married in 1976. They later divorced, but have three daughters and four grandchildren, Cindy Liebrecht and son Kaden Liebrecht of Belgrade, Kelly Landsberger and daughter Samantha Thornburg of Kalispell, and Tracy Swope, husband Todd Swope and sons Brock and Brayden Swope of Columbia Falls.

David loved the outdoors, fishing whenever and wherever he could. He had a wonderful sense of humor and an adventurous spirit.

David was preceded in death by father Leo, mother Marie, and brother-in-law Ted Parod.

He is survived by his daughters and grandchildren, sisters Debbie Parod of Columbus, Montana, and Renee Burgess and husband Mike Burgess of Post Falls, Idaho, and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

A memorial is being planned for later this summer in Kalispell.
