Former C. Falls, Kalispell city manager Webb dies
Myrt W. Webb, the former city manager of both Columbia Falls and Kalispell, died at the age of 74 at his home in Columbia Falls on Tuesday.
Webb was a retired U.S. Army colonel. After serving in the military, he became the city manager of Colfax, Washington, and then city manager of Columbia Falls for three years. He later was an interim county administrator for Flathead County and manager of the Flathead County Solid Waste Department. In 2008, he was appointed as interim city manager in Kalispell.
Webb also served in a number of other positions locally, including as a member of the Flathead County Emergency Medical Services Admin-istrative Board and as an information-technology coordinator for North Valley Hospital.
Webb married his first wife, Sharon Ann Webb, in 1966 while he was serving in the Army. She died in 2011.
Webb is survived by his wife Linda Jean Putman and daughter Cynthia Lee Webb.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 27, at the United Methodist Church 117 Second Ave. W., Columbia Falls, with full military honors following services.
