Wesley 'Frenchy' French, 64

| May 30, 2017 5:45 PM

Wesley French sadly passed from our lives on May 23, 2017.

Wesley was born on Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls on Aug. 11, 1952. He lived in several Montana towns in his youth before settling in Whitefish. Wesley graduated from Whitefish High School and enlisted in the Air Force before being drafted. When his enlistment was done, he moved back to his beloved Montana.

Frenchy worked for and retired from Plum Creek MDF. He loved the mountains and trees of this great state. Being outside, enjoying nature, fishing and his family were what made life precious.

Frenchy was preceded in death by his brother Stephen, mother “Granny Jo,” sister Teri, and his son JD. Each of these fractured his heart and tore a piece of his soul.

Frenchy is survived by his wife Earleen, son Joseph French, daughter Adrienne Crawford, stepdaughter Crystal Lower, stepsons Vern Lower and Devin Howke, brothers Michael Owens and Orrion French, his Aunt Margaret, many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and “adopted” family. He was quick to take you under his wing and call you family.

Please don’t be sad of Frenchy’s passing. Remember the quick wit, many stories (especially the whoppers) and his rendition of “Three Irishmen.”
