Leaf dumper, doughnut driver eludes officers

According to the Whitefish Police Department, someone allegedly dumped a bag of leaves in a resident’s yard. The resident who called to report the incident voiced more concern about someone doing doughnuts near a school. Officers were unable to locate the perpetrator(s).

A caller complained that his son’s vehicle had been towed, along with some of the tools and blueprints he needed.

Officers took possession of a debit card that a user found left in an ATM machine.

The South Kalispell Fire Department responded to a power lines emergency.

The Bigfork Fire Department investigated smoke on Echo Lake Road.

Montana Highway Patrol responded to hit-and-runs reported on West Evergreen Drive, North Hilltop Road, and U.S. 2 East.

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office responded to a hit-and-run on East Idaho Street.

The Kalispell Police Department responded to a hit-and-run on West Center Street.

The Columbia Falls Fire Department responded to reports of a grass fire on South Veteran Drive.
