Firefighters put out blaze at abandoned home

The South Kalispell Fire Department responded to a structure fire at about 7:30 p.m. Monday on Willow Glen Drive. Fire Chief Chris Yerkes described the structure as a small, partially collapsed residence that has been unoccupied. The cause of the fire is unknown.

According to the Whitefish Police Department, someone had reportedly set up a chair outside a woman’s window and was watching her in her room.

According to the Columbia Falls Police Department, a 16-year-old had moved out of her father’s house but was not living with either of her parents.

A homeowner was concerned there was a sewer pump outside the window that was rather loud.

According to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, a man walking through a casino was acting jittery and possibly had a gun or a knife on his hip.

An employee said a woman who stole coffee last week was back in the store.

A Kalispell resident reported a rental scam, saying they had paid a deposit for a rental that is not available.

A caller said his brother had come and cleared out their mom’s shed sometime over the summer and put a different lock on the shed.

A driver who took his vehicle on a side road along the North Fork of the Flathead River got stuck in the snow.

According to the Kalispell Police Department, a employee said it looked like a bag of drugs was dropped off at a thrift store.
