Resident thwarts wood-pile thief

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, a man reportedly backed his Jeep up to a resident’s wood pile and it looked like he was going to load up the wood. When the resident asked what he was doing the man reportedly asked if the wood was for sale and left.

A caller said a man was shooting at a deer in a residential neighborhood.

A caller said two rings were missing from her jewelry box.

An overturned log truck was reportedly blocking the westbound lane of traffic on U.S 2.

Someone wanted to check on the safety of an elderly driver who had nearly run into a building.

According to the Columbia Falls Police Department, a woman inside a business was “freaking out” and refused to leave.

According to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, a woman said her ex-boyfriend wouldn’t let her have her belongings. Then he started throwing her things into the yard and telling her to come get them. The woman said she had go to there four different times to retrieve her things.

A Kalispell man said when he returned to his home there was an extra dog in his yard “just hanging out.”

According to the Kalispell Police Department, a “good natured” couple was moving through the area and had nowhere to stay. They checked with shelters but they reportedly had no room. They asked to stay on the floor of the lobby at the Sheriff’s Office for the night.
