Resident thwarts wood-pile thief
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, a man reportedly backed his Jeep up to a resident’s wood pile and it looked like he was going to load up the wood. When the resident asked what he was doing the man reportedly asked if the wood was for sale and left.
A caller said a man was shooting at a deer in a residential neighborhood.

A Kalispell man said when he returned to his home there was an extra dog in his yard “just hanging out.”
According to the Kalispell Police Department, a “good natured” couple was moving through the area and had nowhere to stay. They checked with shelters but they reportedly had no room. They asked to stay on the floor of the lobby at the Sheriff’s Office for the night.
