Reckless granny needs a talking-to

According to the Kalispell Police Department, a driver was attempting to turn southbound at an intersection when an elderly woman ran the red light. The driver didn’t want to sign a formal complaint, but wanted the woman spoken to if she was located.

A man placed an order at a business but was not happy with it. The business reportedly offered him a new order but he still wasn’t happy. The customer was reportedly back at the front door trying to get back in and staff just wanted him to leave.

A man asked to talk to an officer about an incident that occurred the day before. He said a man in line behind him tried to give him a $5 bill but he refused. He didn’t know why the man tried to give the money to him.

A man wanted to report a theft for his friend. He said her purse was stolen from a bar a month ago.

A man barred from a public building reportedly called them 30 times in 30 minutes.

According to the Columbia Falls Police Department, a business owner reported two suspicious men. One was reportedly staring into a window and pacing back and forth. The other had a bushy beard and had split away from the other suspicious man.

A chainsaw was reportedly stolen out of a garage.

A deer reportedly ran into the side of a vehicle.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, a caller reported an angry mother yelling at her child for 10 minutes.

There was a report of a person laying in the gutter and the sidewalk. Officers reportedly made contact with the subject who was “up and moving.”

A man and a woman were reportedly arguing and throwing boxes around the yard.

Three juveniles were reportedly “playing chicken” with a train.

A resident reported a dead elk behind his house.

An officer was reportedly stopped in a parking lot to discuss ways to handle a difficult granddaughter.

A woman said her husband and his grandson had not returned from a hunting trip. A friend later located the duo who reportedly had a disabled vehicle.

A caller said his son’s wife was always beating on him and law enforcement wasn’t doing anything about it.

A caller reported a lone bear cub and was concerned the bear was orphaned.

A resident said there was a group of kids ringing the doorbell and running away.
