Oh deer! Dangerous doe delivers damage

| November 26, 2017 7:15 PM

An Uber driver called the Whitefish Police Department because someone pulled up next to her while she was driving and blew out her back window with what she thought was a shot gun, though she didn’t get a good look at the car. She went straight to the police station, where officers determined the damage was caused by a deer colliding with the side of her car, not an assassination attempt.

One call came in to dispatch with radio silence on the other end. Dispatch called back, and the call was answered but dispatch was again greeted by silence.

Someone who owns a storage unit rental business called because they thought someone was living in the unit they were renting them. The business owner also lived on site, and didn’t want to confront them alone. Officers arrived to find the business owner, who said he knew the individual was there because he’d using the security cameras to spy on them.

Someone called dispatch and then immediately hung up. When dispatch returned the call, they were told there was a fire alarm caused by burnt toast.

Another caller reported a television and set of speakers were stolen from their garage. They suspected the items were taken the night before, but couldn’t be sure.
