Red Jeep broke down and in the way

For some reason, a red Jeep parked near a store on U.S. 93 drew complaints from neighbors and vendors. The vehicle was apparently disabled, and the store told Whitefish Police it would be towed if it was still there by Saturday.

A driver hit a light pole near the main sign of the Mountain Mall. No injuries were reported.

A vehicle struck a deer on East Lakeshore Drive, across from the Houston Point Tennis Courts. The vehicle had left by the time officers arrived. The deer was dispatched.

A caller reported a group of underage kids in a Whitefish parking lot who may have had someone buy them alcohol. Officers moved them along.

A man was arrested at a Wisconsin Avenue traffic stop. Officers checked the serial number on his gun and found it to be clean. Two females with him went to the station to wait for a ride.

A man was arrested at a Second Street West traffic stop and taken to North Valley Hospital to have his blood drawn.

A transient who had set up a camp near a bike path startled a passerby.

The Kalispell Police Department responded to four separate hit-and-runs on Liberty Street, U.S. 93, Treeline Avenue, and First Avenue.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a gas odor on North Meridian Road.

The Somers-Lakeside Fire Department responded to an automatic fire alarm on Blacktail Road.

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to an automatic fire alarm on Forest Edge Trail.
