Grant-writing workshop offered at college

The Flathead Valley Community College Continuing Education Center will host a workshop series designed to help volunteers, board members and staff of nonprofit organizations understand the elements of successful grant writing. “Grant Writing Fundamentals” will be held Oct. 10, 17 and 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the college.

Certified Fund Raising Executive Chany Ockert will teach the series titled “Grant Writing Fundamentals,” which will define the grant-writing cycle, key elements of a success proposal and the tools and content needed to prepare one or multiple proposals throughout the year.

Free prerequisite workshops explaining the process for starting a nonprofit and using the Foundation Directory Online will be offered on Oct. 5 from 1:30-4:45 p.m. at ImagineIF Library in Kalispell.
