Wolfpack whips Big Sky
Junior middle hitter Kali Gulick had quite the performance Thursday evening, leading third-ranked Glacier past Missoula Big Sky 25-19, 25-20, 22-25, 25-22 at Glacier High School in a Western AA volleyball match at Glacier.
Galick led Glacier in kills (18), blocks (four), digs (10) and aces (two).
Glacier dominated the net with 54 kills to Big Sky’s 37.

Flathead 3, Hellgate 1
Flathead, which lost to Missoula Hellgate earlier in the year 3-1, managed to net a big win in this one, besting the Knights 25-22, 19-25, 25-21, 25-20 at FHS.
Julia Burden and Madde Boles led an improved net game for Flathead with 12 and nine kills, respectively.
Hannah O’Dell had seven blocks for Flathead and Taylor Henley six.
“Huge improvement across the board,” Flathead coach Nicole Fairclough said.
“Our passing is much better, our hitters were swinging all night. Our blockers at the net made their hitters work around us.”
Flathead had 14 aces in the match with Burden notching a match-high eight. She also shared the digs lead with Boles with 14 each.

Whitefish 3, Stevensville 0
WHITEFISH — Whitefish held the edge in all five statistical areas en route to a Class A nonconference 25-18, 25-18, 25-21 triumph over Stevensville.
Cailyn Ross had 14 kills for Whitefish and Lauren Schulz was next with 12.
Ross also topped Whitefish in aces with five. The Bulldogs had 11 as a team.

EUREKA — Abby Hudson had a strong all-around match at the net with 10 kills and three blocks as Stillwater Christian School pulled out a tough 25-20, 10-25, 25-23, 18-25, 15-13 nonconference victory over Eureka.
Helena Hashley led Stillwater in kills with 13.
Erynn Thier had a big net effort for Eureka with 16 kills. Sienna Utter added 12.
Eureka had 56 kills to 36 for Stillwater.

LIBBY — Libby (11-0, 8-0) continues to roll right along, stopping Columbia Falls 25-18, 25-16, 25-22 in a Northwest A contest.
Brooklyn Rainer led Libby’s strong net game with 14 kills. Jayden Winslow and Mehki Sykes were next with eight each.
Stella Bistodeau had seven kills for Columbia Falls.
“It was a fun match,” Libby coach Cindy Ostrem-Johnston said.
“Columbia Falls gave us a pretty good fight. They put up some tough blocks, had a tough server. All of my players contributed well tonight ... a team effort — back row, front row setter. I’m proud of the way they played.”
