Mechanical failure raises concern
An individual contacted the Kalispell Police Department to report they brought a truck in for repairs and three weeks later their transmission reportedly blew up and the mileage had allegedly been spun back on the vehicle. An officer left a voicemail for the reporting party.
Someone reported receiving a fraudulent check for tires they were selling on Craigslist. The woman said the buyer sent a check for more than the tires cost and requested she send a refund check to another party. The woman did not follow through with the buyer’s requests. The buyer’s check and the package it was sent in were scanned by law enforcement.
A driver reported they nearly hit a child riding a go-kart that was reportedly very low to the ground. Law enforcement spoke with the child’s father who agreed to keep the go-kart off the road.
A female reported she parked in a rented parking space and found a note from the space-holder glued to her vehicle and was concerned about possible damage. The woman later called back to report the male who allegedly left the note on her vehicle was screaming at her and pointing in her face.
A school administrator found two students allegedly in possession of drugs during a high school sports game.
A medium-sized dog was reportedly running at-large and chasing people on their bikes according to Whitefish Police Department dispatch logs. The dog was caught by law enforcement. Officers also left a message for the dog’s owner.
A bartender reported a male inside the establishment allegedly wanted to fight other bar patrons. The male was described as wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans with brown hair. The male was arrested for disorderly conduct.
A man was reportedly swinging and punching at the staff of a local bar. He was allegedly being held down on the ground outside of the establishment at the time of the report. The man was arrested for disorderly conduct.
