Driver spinning doughnuts tears up field
Multiple juveniles were reportedly doing doughnuts in a Kalispell baseball field in an off-road vehicle. The reporting party said they were doing damage to the fields. The juveniles later flipped their vehicle. Law enforcement responded to the scene.
A man in a gray Chevy Suburban allegedly attempted to steal a home entertainment system, according to Kalispell Police Department dispatch logs. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle in question.
A woman said she pulled over following an alleged physical altercation with a man who pulled some of her hair out. She said both parties had been drinking. Law enforcement was unable to locate the man and the caller said she did not wish to press charges.
An individual found a loaded syringe outside of a local pawn shop. Law enforcement collected the syringe for destruction.
A man allegedly entered a local bar stumbling and swinging at the air. The caller walked him outside of the establishment and he went willingly. The man was cited for disorderly conduct and trespassed from the location.
Someone reportedly drove into a residence and left part of their bumper on the scene. The reporting party said they could see a crack in the wall and noted that it was dented. The homeowner said they know the male whom they believe hit their house and said they did not want to pursue any charges.
A man reported he was locked inside a bathroom at a local park while on break at work. He said the door handle was broken and just kept turning. Officers were notified.
A man was reportedly going door to door selling candy. He was reportedly traveling by bike with a sleeping bag. Law enforcement counseled the man about selling candy door-to-door.
A man reported another man was allegedly holding his wife and kids hostage. Dispatch said the caller was very excited and difficult to get information from. The caller said he would start beating the subject in question with a baseball bat if law enforcement failed to arrive within five seconds. The wife stated she was not being held against her will and had chosen to be there. The parties were separated by law enforcement.
A caller reported juveniles were littering and allegedly smoking marijuana inside a small, silver car. A male described as wearing a gray T-shirt and sweatpants reportedly exited the vehicle wielding a machete when the caller told him to pick up his litter. Law enforcement made contact with the suspects in question.
Someone reportedly pulled a gun on an individual on the west side of Kalispell. The suspect allegedly left the scene with the caller’s money and headed west. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a maroon or red truck with a load of firewood in the back. The caller said he was buying wood from the suspect when the incident occurred.
A woman reportedly refused to leave a store and told employees she owned the place and to leave the keys and money. Law enforcement moved the woman along.
A woman was reportedly attempting to shoplift at a local store. The woman set off alarms and was yelling and “almost becoming violent.” The woman allegedly had an infant with her and employees were concerned about her leaving with the child. The employees surrounded the woman at the front of the store.
Someone contacted the Whitefish Police Department to report subjects allegedly trespassing in the back lot of their property. The caller said the subjects had stayed there every night for the past two weeks and left garbage and other items behind.
A female reported a large dog followed her home. She took the dog to the police department.
An employee at a local hospital requested assistance from law enforcement for a patient who was allegedly becoming disorderly and was on recreational drugs. The patient was sedated. Law enforcement were later called back to the same location to restrain the individual.
