Phone scammer looking for a bestie

According to the Columbia Falls Police Department, a caller said his mother was being targeted by a scammer. When he answered his mother’s phone the scammer asked if he could be friends with the caller. The man apparently keeps calling from two different numbers. When police tried to call the numbers, they were listed as inactive.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, a caller said that her neighbor had been making threats over the past year. The neighbor had allegedly stomped and removed her newly planted willow trees, saying they are not indigenous. She said the person had also yelled at the caller’s husband saying their grass was the next to go.

A woman said there were four domesticated goats on a her porch attempting to enter her residence. Later that morning, a female called looking for her goats.

A man’s cousin reportedly trashed his house and damaged his vehicle.

A woman reported having a large bear in her apple tree. She was afraid it could become a nuisance or safety concern for area children.

A bear-versus-vehicle crash was reported on U.S. 2 near mile marker 26.

A man said somebody hit a deer and his mailbox, but he didn’t know who did it or when it happened.

A woman decided to take her daughter to the emergency room because she was worried she may have given her the wrong medication.

An employee said when he went to use the phone a man stole a bottle of liquor and put it down his pants.

According to the Kalispell Police Department, a caller mistakingly thought a dead deer on the side of the road was a medium-sized dog with white and brown mixture.

A citizen was concerned about vehicles speeding near a bus stop and requested more officers to wait there in morning.

A tenant said she was moving and the landlord wouldn’t let her get the rest of her things. She said the landlord was closing the door on her foot.
