Woman finds grandfather's explosives

According to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, a caller said she was helping her grandmother clean out her deceased grandfather’s possessions when they found a stick of dynamite and a grenade. She said the grandfather was in the Army and worked at the Berkley Pit. The caller asked law enforcement to dispose of the items properly.

A caller said a woman was texting while driving and nearly side-swiped their vehicle.

A Bigfork resident reported a dock floating past their house.

A Coram resident said their neighbors put a shed on top of a grave site at a cemetery. She said no one managed the cemetery but the area was ribboned off.

A man said he had a scammer on the phone that told him he won Publishers Clearinghouse, and instructed him to send money. The scammer told him that he will come to the caller’s home to pick up the money. The caller said he wasn’t going to get the money, but wanted the scammer to believe he had. The caller was advised against this and told not to communicate further with the scammer.

A caller said there was a tent below a business near the river, and that the girls in the business were nervous. Police advised later the camp site had been taken down.

A Whitefish resident said two of their mules got loose.

A man said somebody made a change of address at the Post Office and his mail went to Texas for two weeks.

Two males were reportedly stealing things from a recycling center.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, a caller reported finding a doll on the walking path.

A resident on U.S. 2 said someone broke into his house... again.

A man said he put his billfold on the hood of his vehicle and drove off. He asked police to let him know if someone found the wallet.

According to the Columbia Falls Police Department, a caller was concerned that the driver of a large Winnebago almost hit her friend.

According to the Kalispell Police Department, a road hazard was reported when a camper popped off a trailer hitch.

Two kids reportedly ran into the front door of a store, stole beer and ran out the back door.
