Jared Whitney Jensen, 29

| October 16, 2017 6:51 PM

Jared Whitney Jensen, 29, passed away unexpectedly Oct. 13, 2017, in Kalispell, surrounded by family and loved ones. Jared was born March 24, 1988, in Sandy, Utah, the son of Mark and Lori.

He was an avid creator. Hours were spent cooking and plating immaculate creations in the kitchen. Jared spoiled those he loved and his community with his talents. Jared had a profound love and connection with the outdoors, especially the highest peaks of Glacier National Park. He shared his yearning for exploration with anyone willing to put on a pair of hiking boots and walk for miles to enjoy a cup of jet boiled coffee while taking in the raw beauty of solidarity with nature. For Jared, the winter months meant days skiing over a blanket of freshly fallen snow. Life was meant to be experienced, explored and observed. Jared fiercely loved his family. He was loyal, compassionate, and shared unbreakable bonds with those he held most dear.

Jared is survived by his parents Lori and Mark, father Craig, sister Madison, brother-in-law Kyle, grandparents Art, Ann, Richard and Inge; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He also leaves behind his beloved dog Joey.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jean.

A celebration of life will be held in Jared’s memory from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, at Darlington Cremation and Burial Service’s Glacier Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the rebuilding of Glacier National Park Sperry Chalet (https://glacier.org/support-sperry-chalet) in honor of Jared.

Darlington Cremation and Burial Service is caring for Jared’s family. You are invited to go to www.darlingtonfunerals.com to view Jared’s Tribute wall, offer condolences and share memories.
