John Gillis Hayes Jr., 55

| October 16, 2017 6:51 PM

John Gillis Hayes Jr. passed away at his home on Oct. 5, 2017, after a long battle with illness. He was 55 years old.

He is survived by his three children, Ryesha, Justin and Trevor, their spouses, his parents, Gillis and Vivian, his sister, Sherie, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

John was born April 22, 1962, in Fairbanks, Alaska. His family relocated to Louisiana, then Arizona, where he met his wife and began his trade as an electrician. After starting their family, they relocated to Montana.

Johnny loved the outdoors, was an avid reader, fisherman and Broncos fan. He loved to take his kids out in his Chevelle, and was a very active and involved father.

He loved to tease, was quick to laugh, and even while battling a brain tumor and other illnesses, he maintained a great sense of humor. Although he had strayed from his beliefs, he had recently acknowledged that he was the happiest when he had a strong faith in God, and he was working towards rebuilding that faith. He was a very devoted son and father, and will be deeply missed.

Together with their family, his children eagerly await the day when “those in the memorial tombs will hear His voice and come out” and he will live again, on Paradise Earth. John 5:28, 29.

There will be a private service with his family.
