Pumpkin vandals strike in Whitefish

A female who reportedly had her keys taken away from her the night before for drinking and driving contacted the Whitefish Police Department to help locate them. The woman submitted to a breathalyzer test and was given her keys back.

A caller reported their yard had been repeatedly vandalized over the past weekend and that pumpkins were smashed and their fence was broken. They requested extra patrols in the area.

Two juvenile males allegedly attempted to break into a shed and took off on foot when confronted. An officer located the males who were with their father. They did not make entry into the shed and nothing was taken. The males were released to their father.

A male with warrants out of Kalispell Police Department and the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office was arrested by Whitefish officers on U.S. 93 South.

A woman reported “a lot of creeps” on her property who allegedly stared at her from afar. She requested extra patrols and noted that the “creeps” were not present at that time.

A vehicle was reportedly broken into. The caller said the vehicle was unlocked and miscellaneous items were taken on Baker Avenue.

A custodian reported a man sleeping on a playground slide but was unable to provide a description because it was dark out and the caller was afraid to get closer.

An individual reported a male living in a trailer allegedly gets drunk and verbally abuses his kids. An officer spoke to the children in question and found that the reporting party’s claims were unfounded.

A woman reported people came onto her porch, looked into her windows, took a few pumpkins and threw them across the neighbor’s yard. She could not tell if the individuals were male or female. She also found what she believed to be an arrow in her yard.

Two juveniles were reportedly playing ding dong ditch and rang the reporting party’s doorbell twice. They were last seen running toward an apartment complex. Officers were unable to locate the children in question.

A caller reported they had been pushed outside of a local bar by a bouncer and that their right leg was injured. They did not request an ambulance. The caller contacted dispatch a second time and allegedly sounded intoxicated. The caller was advised to go home and not to return to the bar they’d been kicked out of.
