Kalispell man charged with sexual assault
A man accused of two counts of felony sexual assault and sexual intercourse without consent pleaded not guilty on Thursday in Flathead County District Court.
Evan Barbouletos, 28, of Kalispell, is charged with subjecting two females under the age of 16 to sexual contact without consent. He also is charged with having intercourse without consent with one of the females.
The disclosure of alleged sexual abuse was discovered by a therapist on or about March 29, according to court documents.
When the therapist was on the phone with one of the girls’ mother, the girl’s sister reportedly broke down in tears and said she had been molested as well, according to court documents.
The reports of abuse allegedly started when the girls were 11 and 12 years old, and continued for about three years.
Barbouletos could face up to 100 years in prison and up to $50,000 in fines for each of the charges.
A jury trial is scheduled to begin Jan. 29, 2018. Judge Robert B. Allison is presiding over the case.
