A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a 68-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting a teenager after he allegedly violated a condition of his release.

Ronald Joe Fetveit, of Kalispell, had been released on his own recognizance with a special condition that stipulated he have “no contact whatsoever with any person under the age of 18.” He was set to be arraigned Aug. 31 on charges of felony sexual intercourse without consent and two counts of sexual assault, but the case has since been suspended.

The reported violations were filed in court on Aug. 30 after Fetveit was allegedly seen numerous times around children under the age of 18, either walking near them or attempting to converse with them, at the Flathead County Fair by Flathead County Sheriff’s Office employees. Fetveit was subsequently asked to leave the fairgrounds and not return.

Bail has been set at $50,000.
