Four share men's lead in Labor Day Golf Tourney

The men’s field is tightly bunched after first-day action at the 80th International Labor Day Golf Tournament at Buffalo Hill Golf Club on Saturday.

Justin Dorr of Spokane, Brock Robillard of Calgary, John Morberg of Kalispell and Ric Reed of Kalispell share the lead with their 4-under-par 62s on two trips around the Cameron 9.

Two shots back in a five-way tie for fifth place are Cameron Dunning of Calgary, Kyle Mossfeldt of Whitefish, Jack Johnston of Missoula, Sam Saunders of Buckeye, Arizona, and Ken Bush of Conway, South Carolina.

Defending champion Logan Lindholm of Kalispell opened with a 67.

In women’s play, Kali Gordon of Okotoks, Alberta, shot a 2-over-par 76 on the Championship 18 to top the leaderboard.

Wendy Madison of Kalispell is two shots back.

Katelyn Dunning of Calgary is also in contention with an 80.

Gordon was the runner-up last year, but won this tournament in 2015 and 2011.

The top men will play the Championship 18 today and Monday.

The women leaders will be on the Cameron 9 today and finish up on the Championship 18 on Monday.
