Reader says students acted like snowflakes instead of as 'team'
I have no idea who Jackie Fuller is. I’ve never met the woman and wouldn’t know her if I passed her on the street, but I take my hat off to this strong-willed woman for standing by her principles.
Three little snowflake individuals didn’t like her approach to coaching and wanted her to be “A little gentler and understanding” in her approach to coaching? Oh, please don’t yell at me and please don’t call me out in front of the team, you hurt my feelings.
You are on a “Team,” Snowflakes and if you screw up, you mess it up for the Team … get it? If you’re that damn sensitive about your feelings, you don’t belong here in the first place! Maybe we can find a “Safe Space” for you, say the janitor’s closet?
To the parents of these three little Snowflakes, what the hell kind of upbringing are you giving your kids? Because somebody hurts their feelings, they are a victim? Boy! I hate to inform you, but the world is full of people who get their feelings hurt every day and somehow they survive. It’s called: Reality!
Wise up, people! If your kid has hurt feelings now in high school. Good Lord; can you imagine the amount of “Hurt Feelings” in college or, worse yet, in the everyday work-a-day world?
