No. 6 Tech rolls Northern

HAVRE — Montana Tech poured on the offense in a 70-27 thrashing of MSU-Northern on Saturday in a Frontier Conference football victory.

Northern (0-2 Frontier, 0-2 overall) struck first, connecting on an 82-yard touchdown pass to Marvin Williams to take a 6-0 lead, but No. 6 Tech (2-0, 2-0) would score three touchdowns on its first four plays, starting the rout.

The Orediggers scored the next 35 points and led 42-20 at half. Four touchdowns in the third quarter only added to the blowout.

Ike Schweikert (Columbia Falls) had three tackles and a sack for Tech. AJ Robinson (Glacier) had two tackles and Tucker Rauthe (Glacier) and Cam Nissen (Bigfork) each had one in the win.

Rocky Mountain 40,

Carroll 14

HELENA — Rocky Mountain domintated Carroll to notch its first win in Helena since 2000.

Carroll (0-2, 0-2) turned the ball over on its first two possessions and the Bears (2-0, 2-1) took advantage, running out to 10-0 lead. Rocky rolled out to a 27-0 lead at halftime and coasted in the second half.

Dylan Torgerson (Flathead) made both of his extra point attempts for the Saints and had three punts for an average of 45.7 yards. Brian FauntLeRoy (Whitefish) had three solo tackles for Carroll.

No. 25 S. Oregon 41,

College of Idaho 25

CALDWELL, Idaho — Southern Oregon (2-0, 2-0) scored the first 20 points in a emphatic win over College of Idaho (0-2, 0-3).

Raiders quarterback Tanner Trosin was 11 of 25 for 285 yards passing and four touchdowns in the win.

Darius Peterson was 15 of 32 passing with two fumbles and two interceptions for the Yotes.
