Seminar taps into international trade

A free Business-2-Business seminar is planned from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18, at the Hampton Inn in Kalispell.

If your business is related to lodging, attractions, activities, guest ranches or guide services and you are interested in the international tourism market, you’re encouraged to sign up for the education workshop. There will be presentations by one of Montana’s preferred inbound tour operators, and by Marlee Iverson, international travel trade manager at MOTBD.

The information presented during this seminar will be helpful for those planning to attend an international roundup planned in Kalipsell next April.

Public lands the focus of Col. Falls meeting

The Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce will hold its general membership luncheon Tuesday, Sept. 12, at the North Valley Hospital Tea Kettle Room, 235 Nucleus Ave. in Columbia Falls.

The event runs from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Amy Robinson of Montana Wilderness Association and Paul McKenzie with F.H. Stoltze Land & Lumber Co. will share their experience of finding common ground among widely varied interests in managing public lands.

SCORE recruitment event planned

A Northwest Montana SCORE recruitment event will be held at the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, 2017. The event will be held in the conference room and a light lunch will be served.

SCORE — previously known as the Senior Corps of Retired Executives — is a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration. It was formed in 1964 to help aspiring and existing businesses succeed. Since then over 10 million people have been helped in pursuit of their business goals. With SCORE, you will be part of an extended team of volunteers representing all facets of the business community.

Some volunteers have worked as executives, some have been entrepreneurs and small business owners, while others have experience in universities, government and the military.

If you are interested in serving as a mentor and being a part of the Northwest Montana SCORE Chapter or just learning more about SCORE, please plan to attend.
