Harold 'John' Crough, 58
Harold “John” Crough, 58, passed away Sept. 6, 2017, following an illness.
He was born Dec. 17, 1958, In Devils Lake, North Dakota, and was raised in Devils Lake. He graduated with the Class of 1977 from St. Mary’s High School in Devils Lake.
John was a jack-of-all-trades and much of his career was in sales.
He also volunteered for Meals on Wheels and was a Boy Scout leader.
His hobbies and interests included woodworking, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his son Kevin Crough, father Harold Crough, mother Marjorie Hudson, and grandparents Cecil and Hilda Crough and Willard and Thelma Hudson.
John is survived by his son, Shaun Crough and Michelle Grant of Devils Lake, and daughter Jenny Crough and Aaron Killiam of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Dailyn Crough, Gabrielle Crough, Liam Saunders, Paityn Gage, Alli Grant, Bailee Banet and Caleb Banet; great-grandchild, Alaia Crough; brothers and sisters, Greg Hudson of Laurel, Montana, Terry and Robyn Hudson of Dubuque, Iowa, Robin Maisey of Williston, North Dakota, David Johnson of Mineral, Washington, Michael Crough of Oregon, and Jim Crough of Oregon; and many extended family members.
John was a kind soul who was loved by all. He was always willing to help anyone at anytime. He will be dearly missed by all those blessed to have known him.
A celebration of life will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at 8600 Wayfarers State Park, Montana Highway 35 in Bigfork, followed by a reception at the Garden Bar in Bigfork.
A second celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, at the KC Hall, 5229 9th St. NE., in Devils Lake.
Cremation and burial arrangements will take place in Starkweather, North Dakota.
