Learn more about electric cars at Co-op event

Plug-in electric vehicle drivers, supporters and intrigued local residents are invited to attend an event at Flathead Electric Cooperative’s Kalispell headquarters from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, to highlight the benefits, cost savings and fun provided by electric cars, as part of National Drive Electric Week.

Enjoy light refreshments and learn more about the charging station at the Kalispell location and find out about the cooperative’s exploration into the future of electric vehicles and charging facilities in the community.

Local electric vehicle owners and experts will be onsite to show their cars and answer questions. On display will be several Chevy Volts, as well as a Tesla Model S.

Flathead Electric’s event is one of dozens going on across the country, where various groups have teamed up with National Drive Electric Week national organizers, Plug In America, the Sierra Club and the Electric Auto Association. The Nissan LEAF is the exclusive national automotive sponsor.

Flathead Electric Cooperative is located at 2510 U.S. 2 E. in Kalispell.
