Walter E. Wesche Jr. 'Bud' 80

| September 10, 2017 7:01 AM

Walter E. Wesche Jr. “Bud,” 80, went home where his Lord Jesus, loving wife and family awaited his arrival Sept. 2, 2017.

Bud was born Oct. 28, 1936, to Walter and Elsie Wesche Sr in Great Falls. He grew up in Loma and attended school in Fort Benton. Growing up Bud worked on the family ranch in Loma riding the hills, catching catfish on the Marias River and hunting antelope on the prairie.

He had a love for guns and old cars and often told the story of his first car, a 1929 Model-T that he purchased from the neighbor for $5. With a cowboy exterior he had a kind heart being an animal lover always having several pets. Later on he made many left turns at the Great Falls speedway winning a roomful of trophies with his race cars. It was there he met his first wife and had four beautiful children. He had many jobs over the years from construction to owning his own long haul trucking company taking him all over the country with “the love of his life,” his late wife, Karen, helping to raise five stepchildren. Bud was always know to be seen in his cowboy hat and boots along with his long steer horns on his vehicles.

Bud is preceded in death by his parents Walter Sr “Papa Walt” and Elsie “Grama Gooch” son Wade, and Wife Karen.

He is survived by his sister Jane and brother in law Ron Parker, his first-born son Walter Wesche III “Buck”, daughter Deborah Anderson, youngest son Justin Wesche, four nieces and five grandchildren, along with stepchildren Jackie, Kenny, Leona, Shane, Nikki and their families.

A special thanks to Buffalo Hill Funeral Home “Dale” and coworkers for there compassion and help, along with all personnel at the Edgewood for keeping him comfortable in his last days.
