Bill Burton, of Bigfork, won $50,000 on the Powerball lottery last month.

Burton, who owns a satellite installation and sales business, said this was his first big win.

Burton had three weeks of tickets that he was checking on a ticket scanner. As he was scanning each of them, he came across one that said to file a claim. Just to be sure, he double-checked with the clerk who confirmed it was a big winner.

When Burton found out that his prize could have been multiplied by four if he chose the Power Play option, he decided to give some advice to other Powerball players — always choose Power Play!

Burton bought his winning ticket at Bigfork Harvest Foods on Montana 35 in Bigfork.
