Man makes do without minivan

A man with 10 kids was reportedly seen driving down U.S. 2 East with a few children in the back of his truck, according to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office. The reporting person said the man was not speeding or driving recklessly. He just didn’t have enough room for his entire brood in the cab.

A resident of Deer Trail reported a neighbor’s dog for repeatedly coming onto their porch to poop.

A man reported a trespasser for allegedly coming onto his property and shooting a fox. The shooter reportedly left the dead fox on the property and did not return.

A neighborly dispute broke out when one mother claimed her neighbor assaulted her 10-year-old son because he was allegedly trespassing. The neighbor reported the boy and his friends were allegedly throwing homemade spears at their horses when they asked them to leave. Officers advised the two families to resolve their dispute using game cameras and good parenting.

A tall tattooed “heavily built” man reportedly attempted to use an allegedly stolen credit card at a bank. The name on the card was Jennifer.

While driving down Swan River Road, a man’s back window on his vehicle was reportedly shot out by a group of kids playing with a BB gun. The man said the shot was an accident and the mother of the kids said she would pay for the damage and take the gun away.

After an argument between a man and woman got heated, the male half allegedly returned to the woman’s house “to apologize.” When the woman opened the door, she told officers the man hit her over the head with a baseball bat.

A woman reported hearing footsteps outside her house and called law enforcement to ask if she could shoot the trespasser. The woman stated she had a gun and was loading it but would put it away when law enforcement arrived. Officers found no one in the area.

A resident of Bull Lake Road told Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies that two male friends of their daughter allegedly took her vehicle without permission and then wrecked it. The vehicle was returned following the wreck.

After asking his neighbor to stop mowing his lawn, a man reported his neighbor allegedly threatened to shoot him.

Two people were reportedly injured when their vehicle struck a moose on U.S. 2. Both human victims were transported to the hospital. The status of the moose is unknown.

Whitefish Police picked up a stray brown and white terrier mix and a black lab on U.S. 93 South. The dogs were taken to the Whitefish Police Department.

A resident on Lacy Lane reported seeing a family of black bears in her yard.

A driver on U.S. 2 reportedly struck a bear, according to Columbia Falls Police. The driver was unsure whether the crash caused any damage to his vehicle, but he said the bear ran off, seemingly uninjured.

A man was reportedly seen walking down a road carrying an AR15 rifle, according to Kalispell Police.

A man reportedly caught his neighbor “hanging around his children’s bedroom window.” The man said it had happened before and each time he chased the man off, he would return.

A resident of an apartment complex allegedly found that someone had stuffed potatoes into multiple cars’ tailpipes in the parking lot.
