Neighbor prunes without permission

A neighbor decided to trim a Whitefish man’s trees without asking. The man asked police to make him stop, according to Whitefish Police logs.

A caller screamed profanity at Whitefish Police Department dispatch demanding to know what exactly was the threat to schools.

A Whitefish man wanted to know if the city was on lock down.

A Whitefish man found poo in his yard, and told police he knew his neighbors dog did it but he couldn’t prove it.

A black bear was spotted near Wisconsin Ave. about 30 feet away from people. The caller honked his horn and the bear ran toward the lake.

According to the Columbia Police Department, a woman called for help when her ex-boyfriend attacked her current boyfriend.

A woman reported a teen sitting on the floor of Columbia Falls business. She wanted to report it because of all the “crazy stuff” going on in Columbia Falls.

A male with a beard was seen stumbling and fell down in the road.

According to Kalispell Police Department call logs, a caller saw a backpack leaning against a building with no one around and thought it should be reported “with all the people running around with guns and machetes.” The bag ended up belonging to a transient.

A male on a bike in the bushes chatting on a cellphone appeared suspicious to a caller.

A man was reported to be showing off his gun yesterday, then the caller said they saw a bunch of people running into the fields later with long blankets covering something up. Police found nothing out of the ordinary in the field except a sleeping bag and trash.

A Kalispell man said a “bald skinhead tweaker” was harassing him. He told police he’s tired of all the tweakers in the area and he will fight them if necessary.

A caller wanted to know if taking property from a spouse by “force/fear” was considered a robbery.
