Caroline Taylor Hooper, 92

| September 21, 2017 7:09 PM

Caroline Taylor Hooper, “Mom” to many, passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2017, due to natural causes.

Carrie, “Mom”, was a loving wife and mother and a proud grandmother. She and Bob (“Dad” Hooper) celebrated 74 years together in June.

They had one son, Bob, his wife, Cheri, and two grandchildren, Mark and his wife Kari, and Matt and his “wife” Tanya; as well as four great-grandchildren, Shelby, Brock, Mileah and Olympia.

One of Mom’s greatest accomplishments was keeping books for Hooper’s Garden Center. During the building of Hooper’s in 1998 and 1999, she learned to “squeeze the buffalo ‘til it squealed.” She was very instrumental in getting the nursery where it is today. She had many hats at Hooper’s and will be missed by all.

Mom will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery. There will be no funeral now, but the family will have a celebration of life later this fall.

In lieu of flowers, please support hospice or the veterans’ pantry or food bank.
