Libby bounces back, whips St. Ignatius 15-3
LIBBY — Khalyn Hageness tossed a no-hitter and Jayden Winslow and Shayla Gallagher were perfect at the plate in helping Libby roll by St. Ignatius 15-3 on Friday in a nonconference softball outing.
Hageness (2-2) struck out three batters and issued three walks.
Winslow was 4 for 4 with three RBIs.
Gallagher went 3 for 3 and drove in two runs.
Winslow doubled.
Hageness was also a force at the plate, going 3 for 4 with three RBIs. She belted her first home run of the season.
Libby’s other extra-base hit was a triple by Haylee Cannon.
Libby (2-2) scored in every inning, but tallied six runs in the first and five in the fourth to end the game on the 10-run rule.
Libby will host Columbia Falls today at 1 p.m. in Northwestern A play. The game was originally scheduled for Columbia Falls, but moved because of wet grounds.
Libby was coming off a pair of tough losses last week to Polson and Frenchtown.
