Whitefish Theatre auditions for black curtain show

| April 11, 2018 4:21 PM

The Whitefish Theatre Co. is holding auditions for “Constellations”, the final Black Curtain Theatre production of the season.

Auditions are being held on April 16 at 6 p.m. at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish. Arrive early and enter at the north side of the building to fill out an audition application and review the script. Auditions will be held in the lobby.

Breathlessly navigating through the romantic journey of being in love, “Constellations” takes a chance encounter between two lost souls and opens the door to the infinite possibilities of their relationship, looking at how the tiniest change in the details of their lives can lead them on completely different paths.

Nick Payne’s spellbinding play begins with a simple meeting at a party between physicist Marianne and beekeeper Roland. They hit it off ... or perhaps they don’t. One of them is married ... or maybe they’re both single. “Constellations” looks at the boundless potential of a connection between two people and the difference between choice and destiny.

The cast will be composed of one man and one woman, ages 18 to late 30s. No experience or preparation is necessary to audition. Pages from the script will be provided.

Renee Frances Conn is the director for this production. As a Black Curtain show, actors will remain on book during performances and there will be minimal costumes and set. There will be a total of nine rehearsals and one tech night May 4. There are two performances over one weekend on May 5 and 6.
