Pet pot-belly provokes police pursuit

According to a Kalispell Police report, a pot-bellied pig reportedly got loose of its harness and refused to give up its newfound freedom, forcing its owners to call for police back-up to catch it.

A woman was reportedly scammed out of $2,000 by someone who called her, claiming her grandson had been arrested on drug charges and telling her she needed to pay in eBay gift cards in order for him to be released. The woman said she bought the cards at a local grocery and called the person back to forward the information before realizing it was a scam.

Someone allegedly found multiple guns with the serial numbers scratched off and turned them over to police.

A man was reportedly seen lying in the middle of a parking lot where he worked. A witness believed he had been drinking and allegedly saw him carrying a bag full of cans. The man reportedly successfully got to his feet and stumbled to a nearby hotel for the night.

A man reportedly called 911 because he was upset at his roommate for making a mess in their apartment and refusing to take out the trash.

An employee of a taxi service was reportedly threatened by a man in an orange truck who allegedly tailgated the taxi driver before pulling up beside her at a red light and pointing a gun at her.

Multiple witnesses reportedly saw an intoxicated pedestrian stumbling around the Evergreen area and lying on the side of a highway.

Someone reportedly spray-painted multiple vehicles black.

A delivery truck driver reportedly drove through someone’s yard and damaged the lawn. The company that owned the truck reportedly agreed to fix the grass.

Someone reported an attack by an unknown culprit that left one of his dogs dead and the other injured. The attack had no witnesses and no one was sure what killed the dog.

A brown/black lab mix went missing near Somers Avenue, according to Whitefish Police.

According to a Flathead County Sheriff’s Office report, someone reportedly stole a rototiller and a log splitter from a man’s property on Park Avenue.

An older female Siberian husky reportedly went missing from her home on Woodland Road.

A child reportedly went to school claiming that her father told her a family member was planning to kill a district judge and come to her school with a gun. Officers and child-abuse personnel agreed to look into the claim.
