Road-rager kicks in windshield

A case of road rage occurred in the city according to Kalispell Police. Someone called to report that a man took his phone and jumped on the person’s Toyota Echo and kicked the windshield while in the parking lot of an area business. The alleged perpetrator was described as balding, wearing a red shirt and driving a gold Saturn SL2.

Someone called to report a German shepherd jumped a fence and killed her chicken. She said the dog has been running all over. The woman said she didn’t actually see the dog kill the chicken. Police spoke with the dog owners and also to the woman about having a permit to keep chickens.

A woman called from the hospital to report her 17-year-old son was hit by a black Nissan SUV while he was skateboarding.

A woman called to report her vehicle was struck by an unknown vehicle while it was parked in the lot at Flathead High School. There was minor damage to the vehicle.

Someone called to report finding several old, abandoned and empty purses between two buildings.

A possible fire turned out to be a man burning pallets in a wood stove.

A woman went to the police department to speak with an officer about a situation she is in and wants to make sure she hasn’t done something wrong.

A woman reported to the Whitefish Police Department that she wants a man to stop calling and texting her. The man texted her while she was in the lobby of the department. She left a message on his phone to stop contacting her or he would be charged.

Someone called to report an incident of reckless driving. The person said the driver was operating a black Nissan SUV and crossing over the centerline while she was texting.

A man called to report another perspon’s vehicle had been parked on his property for more than a week. He left a message for the person to remove the car. Police told the man he could have it towed. He said he would wait a bit before calling for a tow.

A Flathead County Sheriff’s Department deputy was scratched and bitten while responding to a call about cats that were left in a camper after a woman had to go to the hospital. She asked a friend to feed them if she wasn’t out in a timely fashion. Four of the cats were taken to the county shelter.

A woman called to report she was having her marriage annulled and her husband wants her out of the house. She wanted to know what her legal rights are to stay there for a couple of months.

Someone called to report a person had borrowed her ATM card to buy groceries and never returned it.

A person called to report a cat fell down a shaft into a root cellar and was stuck there. The cat was later transported to the county shelter and didn’t appear to have any injuries.

A man called to report another driver had an unsecured wheelbarrow and possibly cement in his trailer and they came off, causing a large chip in the man’s windshield. He tried to pull the man over, but he kept going.

A woman called to report she has a protection order against someone that is continually finding her location. She was told to call law enforcement so they could check it for a tracking device. A deputy told the woman it was likely the man was tracking her through a phone app. She was advised to change all her social media and phone passwords and call if it continues after he is contacted.
