Artist's choice exhibit showcases Montana talent
The Bigfork Art & Cultural Center presents “Artist’s Choice,” an exhibition featuring 29 of Montana’s most gifted artists, painters, craftsmen and photographers. The exhibit will run from Aug. 1-31 with a reception on Friday, Aug. 3 from 5-6:30 p.m.
Last year, BACC invited 13 artists to exhibit and asked each of them to choose an artist to exhibit alongside.
Artists chose their mentors, their students, their friends, or simply an artist that they admire. This year, the artists who were chosen last year are inviting new artists to participate. The artists’ choices have produced a diverse, engaging body of work.
Artists in the exhibition are: Rob Akey, Carl Ambrose, Lauren Arsen, Dana Berardinis, Julie Christopher, Francesca Droll, Pattee Fenn, Jill Gotschalk, Lauren Grabelle, Lael Gray, Penny Hall, Gail D. Hansen, Tabby Ivy, William Jasper, Allen Jimmerson, Celestia Kierkegaard, Robert Korenberg, Thomas G. Lewis, Lynon Lohof, Jeff Manion, Elizabeth Michaelson, Darlene Morgan, Debra Pollard, Jeanette Rehahn, Joann Sleadd, Robin Sorg, Marilyn Theis and Sally Vannoy.
