Mental lapse costs man 3 grand

A man reported leaving $3,100 in cash in an envelope on the back of his truck while he was at the bank. When he realized the cash was gone, he went back, but couldn’t find it. He then said he saw a red pickup stop along the road and grab the money, but he didn’t see the license plate.

A pistol-packing, 94-year-old granny reported to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office that she continued to get suspicious phone calls. She uses a wheelchair and she keeps the gun because she doesn’t want to be robbed again. A deputy told her to be careful to not shoot at people who may come in, but she said that she knows how take care of herself.

A caller reported a reckless driver in a black car that nearly hit a cyclist.

A woman called to report people using her dock. When she asked them to leave, they cussed her out.

Before a parent got the phone from her, a precocious young girl called to ask how old she had to be to get a job with the police force because she really loves cops.

The Columbia Falls Police Department determined that a burglary alarm had been activated by a dog going in and out a back door.

A man claimed he was assaulted by a woman in his car. He said she punched him, kicked him and choked him out. He also said he thought she broke his nose. He said she got out of the car and took their child with her.

A woman complained about a man who hadn’t returned her car. When an officer tried to call her, the phone was turned off and no voicemail was set up.
