Donald James Taylor, 67
Donald James Taylor, 67, passed away peacefully following a long-term battle with medical issues. He was a longtime resident of Kalispell.
He was a feisty individual with both a quick wit and sense of humor. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam, receiving an honorable discharge.
He was employed in the food industry for many years.
Don enjoyed his very big screen television over recent times. His love was his dachshund, Venus, who remains behind with a longtime friend of Don’s.
In healthier times, Don enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish. And, talk about an avid fan — his collection of Green Bay Packers paraphernalia is extensive, and one had better not mess with the TV remote control on GB Packers play days.
He is survived by three of his five siblings, Penny Leatzow of Kalispell, Wesley Taylor of Pahrump, Nevada, and George Taylor of West Chicago, Illinois; as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
His mother, Mildred DeJong, formerly of Kalispell, his father, John W. Taylor, formerly of Gillespie, Illinois, brother, Fred Muntwyler, formerly of Chicago, and brother, Michael Taylor, formerly of Wenatchee, Washington, all predeceased him by many years.
In memory of Don, contributions may be made to Rocky Mountain Heart & Lung, 350 Heritage Way, Suite 2100, Kalispell, MT 59901.
Johnson-Gloschat Crematory is caring for the family.
