| August 4, 2018 2:00 AM

Janette “Jan” Adele Weaver, 85, passed away July 31, 2018, at North Valley Hospital surrounded by family.

Jan was born May 14, 1933, in Becker, Minnesota, to Algot Anderson and Mildred Spencer Anderson. At 5 months of age Jan moved to Polson where she spent her childhood and attended school, graduating from Polson High School.

Jan married Ernest “Ernie” Weaver on Dec. 31, 1951, leading to a happy, joyous marriage that lasted over 60 years, ending when Ernie passed away in 2012. Jan and Ernie had two sons, Ronald in 1953 and Kenneth in 1956.

A happy smile and laugh greeted family and friends when Jan was around. She was always ready with a short story or history lesson about family members, which was a treat for all.

Approaching nearly 80 years of age, Jan and Ernie continued to deliver food through Meals on Wheels to folks that weren’t able to prepare their own meals or needed help. The two worked together side-by-side making a better place for other folks and those in need. Jan and Ernie were also big supporters of the Columbia Falls Senior Center, helping any way they could.

Preceding Jan in death was her husband, Ernest Weaver.

Her children and their spouses, Ronald and Sheila Weaver and Kenneth and Sharen Weaver survive her. She is also survived by grandchildren, Nathan (Sally) Weaver, Kelsey (Curtis) Shipp, Erin Weaver, and Greg (Jen) Weaver; and great-grandchildren, Jenna, Patrick, Beau, Dillon, Aubrey, Oscar and Claire. She also leaves behind sisters, Bonnie Dillon and Lorraine Paddock; as well as sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Les Tinseth; and sisters-in-law, Shirley Weaver and Carol Vars. Jan had many nieces and nephews scattered throughout the Flathead and beyond.

No services are planned at this time.
