Man charged in stabbing death

Kalispell Police have arrested a 34-year-old man in connection with a stabbing death in west Kalispell on Sunday morning.

Kalispell resident Ryan Lamb, 34, was arrested Sunday and charged with deliberate homicide. He is currently being held in the Flathead County Detention Center.

According to a media release from Kalispell Police, officers responded to the scene at 306 Two Mile Drive early Sunday where they found a 31-year-old man, Ryan Edward Nixon, dead with a stab wound.

Police have not released information on what might have led to the stabbing.

Yellow crime tape was wrapped around the apartment building in west Kalispell while officers with the Major Crime Unit investigated the scene. The location is west of North Meridian and north of U.S. 2 near the Gateway Village Apartments.

Kalispell Police Investigations Captain Doug Overman said the investigation was ongoing.
