Sarah Christine Allen-van Geenen, 34

Sarah passed away from cancer in her home in The Hague, The Netherlands, on June 20, 2018.

Sarah was born Nov. 23, 1983, and grew up in Hungry Horse, graduating from Columbia Falls High School in 2001, and then the University of Montana in Missoula, after which she earned her doctorate in Erving, Texas. After this, she moved to The Netherlands where she married Paul van Geenen.

Sarah is survived by her husband, Paul van Geenen of The Hague, The Nether-lands; her father, Jeff Allen, of Hungry Horse; and her brother, Joshua Allen, of Kalispell.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Susan Allen, formerly of Hungry Horse.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Apgar Amphitheater in Glacier National Park. There will be a gathering close to the amphitheater after the service. Kindly bring your own refreshments and food.
