Unruly hounds cryin' all the time

A pack of hounds were howling at a Kila residence, according to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office. A dispatcher could hear the dogs in the background. Apparently it has been an ongoing issue. A door notice was posted.

A woman wanted to talk to an officer about fraudulent charges on her American Express Bluebird prepaid card.

A father wanted to speak to an officer regarding inappropriate things he found on his 14-year-old daughter’s cellphone.

A Pacific Corps worker reported that someone took an excavator and dug into the canal near Pacific Park.

An older female Malamute dog named “Keeda” was found. It had a pink collar with a pink name tag. The animal was taken to the county shelter when an officer couldn’t reach the owners.

A Stihl chainsaw, a drill and other items were stolen from an unlocked garage.

A caller said they had been smelling something on and off for the last month and believed it could have been a meth lab in the Hungry Horse area. An officer left a message with the caller.

A caller who was watching a neighbor’s property said four people on a speed boat were trespassing on landowner’s beach.

A man called about someone possibly flying a drone over a train.

Someone accidentally called 911 while rafting on the Flathead River. The man said he didn’t know why his phone dialed the number.

A woman reported a man who allegedly threatened her husband and the dogs because he thought the dog barked too much. She claimed the man has shot paintballs at the dogs and thrown things at them. She said she was afraid of him. An officer told her how to file a restraining order.

A caller was concerned about two boys and a girl walking alone. They were all wearing pull-ups or diapers and no other clothes. She also said they had a battery-operated toy vehicle and a dog with them. When an officer arrived, the father was with the kids. He said he’d keep a better eye on them.

A caller reported someone had broken into a safe and stole $550. He was unsure when it happened.

A woman riding her bike on the rails to trails path was startled after she heard two screams. An officer couldn’t locate the source of the screams.

Two girls in their late teens were hanging out near a thrift store, according to Kalispell Police call logs. They had a bunch of backpacks with them.

A man called from a phone store asking for a ride to Whitefish because his legs were falling off. He said he was up Smith Lake Road, but when he was questioned about it, he said, “Well, not for long.” An officer determined he was fine and didn’t need help.
