Barking dogs just wanted some water

Someone called the Kalispell Police Department to report two dogs that were left out and barked all day and night. The caller thought both owners were in jail and also gave the dogs water.

A 5-year-old boy got gasoline in his eyes at a gas station, according to a female caller. She said she flushed his eyes with water, but couldn’t do a sufficient job and wanted the fire department to evaluate the boy.

A couple made a clean getaway after a man wearing a red hat and blue shirt stole some flowers from a shop. The manager chased him until he got in a red car driven by a girl, who drove away.

A neighbor called about a man who was working on his house after midnight. He said the man was pounding nails and keeping his family awake. After an officer spoke to the nail pounder, he called it quits for the night.

Someone reported a 13-month-old boy locked in a vehicle. The caller said the child unbuckled himself and was crawling around the vehicle. The person was concerned because there were plastic bags laying in the vehicle and the child might get one and choke. A locksmith couldn’t arrive quickly and officers from Kalispell and the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office responded. A deputy ended up breaking the driver’s side window and got the child out of the car.

Someone called the Columbia Falls Police Department to report that her and her boyfriend’s vehicles were ransacked. She could see that two $10 bills were missing.

A person went into a store and then realized it was closed. The lights were off and there was no one inside, but the door wasn’t locked.

A caller said two shirtless men and a woman in a pink bathing suit threw rocks at him and hit him in the leg.
