First broke down, then dropped trou
Someone called the Kalispell Police Department to report a man got out of a big, white Ford 250 with a camper and walked away without any pants on. When an officer spoke with him, the man said his vehicle had broken down and that his pants were too small for him and they didn’t stay up.
A caller reported a person had poured diesel fuel into his side-by-side.
A dog wearing a pink sequin collar and a bark collar wandered into a business. The caller put it in a crate and wanted it picked up, but the animal’s owner showed up and took it.
A woman called the FBI to report a suspicious item, a purple triangle-shaped object in a pine tree in an area park. They told her to call the parks department. Someone from there determined it was used to deter insects from the tree.
A caller reported a hit-and-run in a parking lot but the damage turned out to be from a grocery cart.
An officer was asked to respond to the posse office about a dispute that occurred between two carnies.
A person said they were having issues with the landlord and that she had taken her son’s skateboard. When an officer talked to the landlord, she said the kids were ruining the property with their toys. She said she’d give the skateboard back.
A property manager called wanting to know why a tenant was dragged out of a residence the other night.
A driver called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office about a man who was slumped over the handlebars of his motorized wheelchair about two miles south of Raceway Park. When he checked on him, the man said he was on his way to Whitefish and was very tired. When officers from the sheriff’s office and Montana Highway Patrol checked on the man, they gave him water and he said he would call if he needed any help.
A curious neighbor looked in the windows of a residence in Somers where a husband and wife reside. The neighbor said the dogs have been barking for two days, the husband has been gone for two weeks in Colorado and there is no sign of the wife. The dogs had torn the house apart and there were a bunch of beer cans and garbage inside. The neighbor said she was willing to take the dogs in and she thought it was strange that the husband had left just after they moved in. When an officer spoke to the wife who lives in the residence, she said she is fine and that they had just moved in a month ago.
