Della Fenby Luckow, 87

| August 29, 2018 2:00 AM

Della passed away on Aug 21., 2018, in a nursing home in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, due to a stroke she suffered in April.

She was born in Kalispell on Dec. 22, 1930, to Ray and Gertie Fenby of Swan Lake. She was raised in Swan Lake, and graduated from Flathead County High School in 1947.

Della married Carl Luckow October of 1949 and lived in the Swan until moving to Salmon Arm in 1964. She lived there the rest of her life. She was very active in her community, was a very hard worker, and would rather be outside than in. Della was an avid hunter in her younger years.

Della is survived by two daughters and their families, Rita Every and Marla Drader, four grandchildren and six “great-grands”; her sister Patricia Luckow, nephew Kyle Luckow, nieces Tracy Gordon and Tooie Johnston and families, and three special cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl, parents Ray and Gertie Fenby, brother-in-law Swede Luckow, and other relatives.

To know her was to love her. She was a very special person.
