'War of the Worlds' auditions on tap in Bigfork

| August 30, 2018 9:38 AM

The Bigfork Community Players will hold auditions for “War of the Worlds” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, and Friday, August 31 at Eagle Bend Yacht Harbor Clubhouse, 371 Eagle Bend Drive in Bigfork.

Written by local playwright David Vale, this trailblazing tale of alien invasion has become an annual favorite of Bigfork.

The production involves both live acting on stage, along with pre-taped videos for this version of the infamous radio drama. Performances are Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26- 27 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 28 at 2 p.m.

No experience is necessary, just a desire to have fun and meet new people. Live stage parts will require memorization of lines and blocking. Videos will require some minor memorization depending upon the character. Rehearsals begin Sept. 13 and will continue three nights per week through opening night for stage characters. Video characters will have minimal rehearsals and will not be required to attend performances.

If either rehearsal time is not convenient for you, please contact the director Michele Shapero at 407-5748 to schedule a private audition.
